Hello Racer,
on Monday October 9th, 2023 between 19:00 CEST and 22:00 CEST the WebSync will not be available, because in that period a new server will be put into operation.
This means the following:
a) Do not upload or delete any data on ftp.simsync.de during this period. Otherwise data loss may occur.
b) Do not make any changes in WebSync: Do not index, do not create or change series, etc.
c) Please do not sync. Even if the service might be temporarily available.
From Monday October 9th, 2023 22:00 CEST, the new server will be online and available to you again.
But ATTENTION! On the new server your FTP passwords will no longer work, due to a change in the FTP server software (over which we have no control).
This affects only WebSync and Seriesadmin accounts. SimSync PRO will still work without changes!
The solution is simple!
a) If your FTP password doesn’t work anymore, just log in to WebSync https://websync.simsync.de once (like before). This will update the FTP password and you can log in to the FTP server again with the same credentials. Of course this has to be done only once.
b) If you have already logged in to the WebSync once in the meantime (i.e. from 04.10.2023), your FTP password has already been updated and you don’t have to do anything else.
Or maybe you can… If you have created series admin accounts, please inform them that they have to log in to WebSync once to keep their FTP access working. Unfortunately not all seriesadmins have email addresses and therefore I could not inform them. Would be good if you could catch up on this when the opportunity arises.

Hallo Racer,
am Montag dem 09.10.2023 zwischen 19:00 MESZ und 22:00 MESZ wird der WebSync und die Server nicht zur Verfügung stehen, da in dem Zeitraum ein neuer Server in Betrieb genommen wird.
Das bedeutet folgendes:
a) In dem Zeitraum keine Daten auf ftp.simsync.de hochladen oder löschen. Hier kann es sonst zu Datenverlusten kommen.
b) Keine Änderungen im WebSync durchführen: Nicht indizieren, keine Serien anlegen oder ändern, etc.
c) Bitte nicht syncen. Auch wenn der Service zeitweise verfügbar sein könnte.
Ab Montag 09.10.2023 22:00 MESZ, wird der neue Server online sein und Euch wieder zur Verfügung stehen.
Aber ACHTUNG! Auf dem neuen Server werden eure FTP Kennwörter, aufgrund einer Änderung in der FTP Serversoftware (auf die Wir keinen Einfluss haben), nicht mehr funktionieren.
Dies betrifft nur WebSync und Serienadmin Accounts. SimSync PRO funktioniert weiter ohne Änderungen!
Die Lösung ist einfach!
a) Sollte dein FTP Kennwort nicht mehr funktionieren, einfach einmal am WebSync https://websync.simsync.de anmelden (so wie bisher auch). Dadurch wird das FTP Kennwort aktualisiert und Du kannst dich mit den gleichen Zugangsdaten auch wieder am FTP Server anmelden. Das muss natürlich nur einmal gemacht werden.
b) Solltest Du dich in der Zwischenzeit (also ab 04.10.2023) bereits einmal am WebSync angemeldet haben, wurde dein FTP Kennwort bereits aktualisiert und Du musst nichts weiter tun.
Oder vielleicht doch… Sofern du Serienadmin Accounts angelegt hast, dann informiere diese Personen bitte ebenfalls darüber, das Sie sich einmal am WebSync anmelden müssen, damit Ihr FTP Zugang weiter funktioniert. Leider sind nicht bei allen Serienadmins Email Adressen hinterlegt und konnten daher von mir nicht informiert werden. Wäre gut, wenn Du das bei Gelegenheit nachholen könntest.
